Project Profile
Codicote was selected by Excel Building Management in 2020 to provide Building Due Diligence and Defects Management services for The Hume in Crows Nest.
The Hume, a Winten Property Group development, is an eight-level building featuring 35 luxury one, two and three bedroom residences, with a communal rooftop garden, two laneway-style retail spaces on the ground level, and three basement levels.
Custom-designed by Architect Mijollo International, each apartment features a modern open-plan design with large outdoor entertainment area and premium finishes throughout, including the use of European appliances, stone bench tops, charcoal joinery, LED lighting, and timber floors.
By utilising our expertise within our senior team, Codicote took great care in attention to detail in order to successfully identify outstanding defects at the end of the building’s Defect Liability Period (DLP). Codicote was responsible for carrying out the coordination of defects inspections throughout the building’s common areas, the status of each outstanding defect recorded within a master defects register.
Codicote met with Building Management, Contractor and Developer to present, discuss and provide advice surrounding its findings. Codicote proposed actions to be undertaken, including indicative programming for the works. The Client was very complimentary of our report and conduction of the Defect Management process.
