Project Profile
Codicote was engaged by Ashe Morgan to provide Design Management, Procurement Management, Superintendent and Defects Management services for the Retail Enhancements Project.
As part of the works, installation of a structural steel and ETFE roof canopy has been installed, including further vertical transportation and air locks to the Studio Lane and Pearl River Road entries, further transforming the experience at The District Docklands. The all-weather roof extends to Studio Lane and Hoyts and was installed to activate shopping, entertainment, and dining destinations all year round.
The District brings to Docklands an exciting urban oasis, featuring a dine-in food, shopping, vibrant entertainment precinct, fresh food, Marriott Hotel, residences and open public spaces. Accessible and active from morning till late, it is an urban village for Melbourne. Designed for a new era, The District is a family-friendly destination offering unexpected and engaging experiences, a place with something for everyone.
Designed by Particular Group Architects, installation of the canopy and entries allows visitors to feel as though they are walking outdoors whilst protected from the elements.
The works were staged and programmed to ensure minimal impact to the operation of the Centre and continued trading of the tenancies.
