The 39 Martin Place development consists of expanding the building footprint to the Martin Place, Elizabeth Street and Castlereagh Street boundaries, extending floor plates up to a new podium level and encapsulating the enlarged building with a new glazed and stone faced façade.
The façade is being designed to reflect the historical nature of the buildings that face Martin Place. The Tiffany and Breitling tenancies are being lowered by approximately 1m to enable trading direct from the footpath level of Castlereagh Street. The Martin Place Bar on Elizabeth Street is to be expanded into the extended podium along with commercial tenancies on the first floor including a childcare facility. Access to Martin Place Station will also be revised during this development.
The pre-planning, construction alternatives, staging, logistics solutions, construction management plans and programming prepared by Codicote are being utilised in the preparation of the Development Application.
The redevelopment of 39 Martin Place will reinforce its position as a premium shopping destination.
